What is TB-500?

TB-500 is a synthetic fragment corresponding to the biologically active region of Thymosin Beta-4, a regenerative protein present in almost all human and animal cells. The shortened fragment retains the activity researchers are interested in while being far more practical to synthesise, handle and store.

It is supplied as a lyophilized powder and reconstituted before laboratory use. See the reconstitution guide for technique, or use the reconstitution calculator to work out volumes.

Research context

Research centres on cell migration and actin regulation — the processes by which cells move and reorganise the cytoskeleton during tissue remodelling. Because actin dynamics are relevant across many tissue types, TB-500 is frequently studied for broader systemic distribution rather than purely localised activity.

It is commonly examined alongside BPC-157, whose proposed mechanism is different but complementary — see our BPC-157 vs. TB-500 comparison. The two also appear together in combination vials such as the GLOW and KLOW blends; our note on multi-peptide research blends explains how those are formulated.

Purity and third-party testing

Every batch is independently analysed by Testides and Peptide Test Canada and ships with a certificate of analysis reporting HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity. Learn how to read a certificate of analysis, or read peptide purity explained for what the figures mean. Our testing process is set out on the Research and Quality page.

Handling and storage

Lyophilized TB-500 is stored cold and away from light; reconstituted material has a shorter shelf life and is kept refrigerated. See the storage guide and bacteriostatic vs. sterile water before preparing a vial.

Related research compounds

TB-500 belongs to our recovery and tissue-repair collection, together with BPC-157, GHK-Cu and Wolverine. For a broader orientation, see Peptides 101 or the knowledge hub.

Research Use Only. Supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and development. Not for human or animal consumption, diagnostic, or therapeutic use.

Frequently asked

Yes. Every batch is independently tested by Testides and Peptide Test Canada for HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity, and ships with a batch-specific certificate of analysis (COA).

TB-500 is available in 10 mg, 5 mg. Per-vial pricing is shown on this page.

TB-500 is supplied as lyophilized powder. Use the reconstitution calculator to work out concentration and dosing volumes for your research, and see the storage and handling guide for temperature and shelf-life guidance. Store the lyophilized vial at -20 degrees C, desiccated and protected from light.
